Religious Affairs Minister Mohammad Khalaylah said all mass prayers, including Tarawih prayers, will be banned, Ammon News website reported.
Jordan has already closed mosques and other religious places to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Khalaylah said closing mosques and banning mass prayers is aimed at stemming the spread of COVID-19.
Nearly 400 coronavirus cases have been recorded in Jordan so far and 7 people have died from the disease.
The global cases has now surpassed 2 million and the death toll is more than 126,000.
